After all, a truly wise person is not one who has never contemplated wickedness, but one who has won it over. A wicked person is not someone who has never known simple goodness, but perhaps someone who was left dissatisfied by it. A simple person was, at some point, someone who didn&#8217;t know how to ask. Perhaps, every year when we leave Mitzrayim we should treat all these traits in us as if they&#8217;re our sons. We cannot leave them behind or deny them.
